The journal Science Robotics publishes an article led by Dr. Ivan Masmitja, postdoctoral researcher in the SARTI group, explains how a new study by the ICM-CSIC, the UPC and the UdG reveals that the combined use of fixed acoustic reception stations and underwater robots for ‘study of the species that live in the deep sea allows us to know much more about their ecology. According to the authors, these technological advances should allow for an improvement in the recovery actions of deep-sea demersal populations.
